Congratulation!!

to Kim Hyun Joong

and

Moon Geun Young

for named as Best Actor and Best Actress by the voters (Seoul International Drama Award 2009). In no doubt that Moon Geun Young's acting in Painter of the Wind was superb. As for Kim Hyun Joong, hmm.. I love him and all (I'm a total fan of korean BBF) but I agree with some say that there's another better actor than he is. But no need to argue with the other 25.5 millions out there, people! Me myself would have been voting for him just because he was Jihu sunbae ... *giggle*.

However, Kim Hyun Joong didn't make it to the event. He probably still down with H1N1 flu. As T-Max presenting Almost Paradise (BBF's OST), my 4-yo son sang along (humming most of the song actually..hehhee). The T-Max boys had a polished-look for the event.. (look nice guys).

On the other hand, Korean Boys Before Flowers (Kkot Boda Namja) won People Choice for Best Drama (also voted). Again.. though I enjoyed other 2009 dramas, I would placed my bet on BBF all the way. Good laugh, fun yet thrilled in the Hanadan's way... along with good looking line of cast *hehehe* (that's the main reason we overlooked some lacks in the show).

Anyway, personal opinion here>>> Best [fill in the blank] voted by people can also be called.. Most Popular. Mind the good, quality and all... *tehee*.

Have a wonderful weekend all!

Painter of the Wind (~finally)

I finally done with POTW. The ending for me very much like Hwang Jin Yi. Earlier, I was hoping that it would end like Jewel in the Palace (with of course the two step-siblings will end up together.. I know... aigo!!! *giggle*) but after Young Bok faced such fate, I lost my interest towards Yun Bok's love life.

The love entanglement between Yun Bok (or Hye Won or Yun Ah) and her teacher, Dan Won did not trigger my sympathy as well *ku-ku-ku*. Anyway, I learned quite a handful of new perspectives of art from the series. Enjoy...

omo! I am captivated by this drawing.

Another favourite character of mine. hohoho!!! He is very eccentric indeed.

Like I mentioned before, Geun Young looked better this way.. ho ho ho

aigo... that little girl (young Yun Bok) is so pretty lar.

Another scene where I cried (other than what happened to Young Bok), when Chusan Chona had his first look at his father's un-finished portrait.

Now... some awkward moments.. *ku-ku-ku*

Like I said, I am not interested in these three love-entanglement.
~aish...~

Painter of the Wind - personal short review 2

I am loving and enjoying this drama, every moment. Now at ep 15, I laughed, cried had tears, get mad etc... yup, I can be a little bit dramatic some time. hoho... Now, am going to share some of my favourite moments... kya ><. By the way, did not contained spoilers (I hope). I'm just sharing the moments... hohoho!!

In "fantasy-land". It's kinda weird to see Geun Young (as Yun Bok) all dress up as a girl. She's pretty alright but after seeing her dressed up like a boy for 90% of the show, I need time to process this appearance in my head.

Owh... I love the brother, Lee Joon (as Young Bok). They (Geun Young and him) would look good together, if only-if only.... aish... I never thought that the brother will end up like that *sigh*. Anyway, Lee Joon does not look as good like this in the current morning KBS World's drama -Glory of Youth-. He looked better in Sageuk-mode- *giggle*.

Ahh... secret revealed time.. or almost? Anyway, it's kinda cute.

Reminds me that I have not hold any brush for almost a year.. aigo...

One of my favourite Choona. He looked good too^^.

Painter of the Wind - personal short review

I love sageuk dramas and what could possibly better than adding some touches of art along (suddenly I miss Hwang JinYi *wink*). Anyway, I never thought this drama would be this good ^^. I read good reviews about the drama and after watching 4 episodes (to date), I felt guilty for not watching it soon enough. Plus, my favourite veteran actor is in it (Ahn Suk Hwan).

I really loved it how the Choona (king) have his own thoughts as well, not merely listened and followed what his ministers told him. The ways he handled things and making decission were awesome too. However, some secrets were revealed too soon I think. Such as who is Yoon Bok's biological father, but I am just at episode 4. Perhaps there's more under the sleeves ^^.

By the way, I do not know if you find this cliche but the words said by Kim Hong Do (Yoon Bok's destined partner I would say), someone told me that too. Someone who taught me to see beyond what can I see in a painting... someone whose his favourite subject is ants.. ^^

what you can see may not be something that can be seen

Ooh.. I almost forgot. The musics/ OSTs were superb. That's one thing that made me really love Korean dramas.
