Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru (2006)

Perhaps it was because I am still head over heels on Hiroshi Tamaki. I decided to check his previous works and ended firstly on Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru (ただ、君を愛してる) - Just, Loving You [click here for info from Wiki].

Also known as Heavenly Forrest, its a romantic movie adapted from a novel; a genre I had abandoned for some time (just because :P).

I guess I rarely watched/ read story where both hero and heroin were being loser (so to speak) met and fell in love but that what TKWA started with. Again, I love every part of Hiroshi Tamaki as Makoto Segawa. Aoi Miyazaki as Shizuru was a weirdo turned friend in Segawa's world and just so that you know, I do not have any problem with her :). The story was sweet and light and made me smile all through, although I know some might be rolling their eyes and said, "yeah right, it's Rae's Tamaki-kun" *giggle*.

But had I forget how Japanese like to end their romance in a harsh way? I think I did because I was expecting a light and sweet ending. It was even harsher when I felt like being comforted by the "it's still going to be okay" closing. To be exact, it's like was given a BIG candy to consume while you were spanked and you can taste the sweet sugary bribe along with the pain. The disease that Shizuru inherited from her mother's genes was ridiculous and to see how Segawa learned about everything from Miyuki was painful. If that still had not made your eyes dwell with tears, just wait untill Segawa went to watch Shizuru's photo exhibition *tears*.

The theme song, Ren'ai Shashin was really lovely. I cried along again at end and I swore thereafter never going to watch a romantic movie for some time! LOL~~ Enjoy!! Yosh! xoxo

Nodame Cantabile The Movie 1

It was in September 2009 when I get to know about the upcoming of this movie [read here]. Waited for so long that it felt like I'm waiting for my love one to return home from a VERY long journey far away from home. After my peaceful evening with Chiaki-sempai *heart*, not even the hot weather can spoil my springy feeling. Yes, I was in the pink Mozart moment. English sub however would have turn all the roses blooming. Reading the manga and watching the anime eventually became handy since it connected my way to the Weirdo Forest.

And so.. here I go sharing my beloved Chiaki's story with spoilers. By the way, just so you know... this is not a full recap (I watched it RAW). I will be explaining things based on the manga and the anime. Plus... a loving note to Redge, my brain worked in the most "weirdest way" especially when it involved Shinichi Chiaki so just laugh off and forget about my "own lines" that I made throughout this review when/if you're watching this with subs ya! *hugs* to Rin-chan, do you want to join me in the Weirdo Forest? huhuhu~~~

Anyway, previously from Nodame Cantabile SP (Europe Chapter), Chiaki and Nodame weird relationship had grown deeper. The movie started with Stresseman scene, riding on a horse somewhere in Germany. Suddenly I can't help but wonder if they already spilled the bean here regarding Streseman's condition so I will keep this to myself for a while just so that it will not spoil your mood. An owl that looked like it just came out from Harry Potter's world dropped a newspaper for Streseman, with Chiaki's news at the front page.

Meanwhile back in Paris, Nodame kept admiring the gift that Chiaki bought for her while she was on the bus with Tanya and Frank (friends from the conservatoire). While they were having their conversation, Frank spotted the advertisement for Deschamps Orchestra with Jean Donnadieu's face on it (Chiaki's strongest opponent in the Platini Concour - a Conductor Competition). The advertisements were everywhere including on the flying blimp on the air :). While Frank and Tanya arguing each other on the possibility why Chiaki was not the one hired by Deschamps Orchestra (since he was the one who won 1st place in the Concour and previously was the guest conductor of Deschamps Orchestra (in Nodame Cantabile SP), Nodame sat there in silence (**probably thinking is Chiaki will be okay?).

Then there was Elise's laughing... laughing happily because Jean (she's a BIG fan) secured his place at Deschamps Orchestra instead of Chiaki. She however got Chiaki another deal... as the resident conductor with Roux Marlet Orchestra. Least to Chiaki's known that Roux Marlet is a once-so-famous-but-falling-lately orchestra house. But knowing that it was where Stressman first began his music career with sparked him with interest.

Elise with her outrageous way of work as so-called-Chiaki's manager but teasing him for losing his Deschamps Orchestra to Jean Donnadieu. (Note: Notice Jean's face on the blimp way behind at the background?)

Later in the day, Chiaki and Nodame had a simple meal (as Chiaki called it). After dinner, just when Chiaki was about to ask Nodame to come with him to watch Roux Marlet Orchestra performance the next day, Chiaki found Nodame was already asleep. Chiaki looked at the sleeping Nodame and said, "Lately it's always been like this, even though she said nothing. More so, she must be tired with all the things that she studied in the conservatoire. Me too... there's still much for me to learn "

The next day, while Nodame at the conservatoire and was talking with Kuroki, there was a sudden commotion. As Nodame ran to see what was it all about, Tanya told Nodame that everyone was excited because the number one pianist, Son Rui had come to the conservatoire. Just to refresh you memory on who Son Rui was, she did a concerto with Chiaki before while Chiaki was still training under Streseman and the concerto actually once broke Nodame heart and spirit.

Meanwhile, Chiaki was dragged by Frank to play as an extra in Roux Marlet Orchestra (Chiaki was also good playing violin). Chiaki tried to resist and told Frank that since he was going to be the orchestra permanent conductor, they will surely recognise him. But Frank had back-up plan for that. He made a disguise for Chiaki and man was Chiaki looked weirder (but Rae loves him anyway :P). Chiaki ended up following Frank's suggestion thinking this might be a good opportunity for him to actually have a sneak peek on the orchestra after all. Inside the hall, Chiaki looked at the pieces that they're going to rehearse for the day and thought, "It had been a long time since high school. I might enjoy myself," and started to play (or something like that :P *giggle*. oh my super confident Chiaki!!!). As he played tremendously well (since the other members stopped doing what they're doing), the concert master came in and told him not to expect to much. Of course Chiaki recognised him from before. Before Chiaki could actually listened (and rehearse) with the group, the orchestra manager rushed in and told them a bad news - The recent conductor who were supposed to conduct them in the next concert had canceled his participation and returned home.. and practise for the day was canceled. Chiaki later overheard the conversation between the oke's manager(oke = short form for orchestra) and the concert master regarding the conductor issue. But from what he heard, it did not sound like the oke was feeling so happy to have him as their new conductor. Worst of all, the oke manager said they decided on Chiaki because he's young and CHEAP!! LOL~~~

After hearing what the concert master commented on him, Chiaki decided to do a well preparation for the next practise. But in the midst of this, he was disrupted by a phone call. It was Son Rui.

Chiaki went out to meet Son Rui not knowing that Nodame had been following (stalking) Rui from the conservatoire.

After the "love attack" by Nodame (they tried very hard to make it look like from the manga *me love*), the three of them went to Chiaki's house. While Son Rui told Chiaki that she's going to stay/ study in Paris and all, Nodame left them after introduced herself as Chiaki's wife. As Rui was about to leave, she give a quick kiss on Chiaki's cheek (of course a gesture the European normally do). Nodame, shocked by Chiaki's "normal"acceptance argue about it and she was then "thrown out" from the Chiaki's apartment. (** Rae knew that Chiaki however felt bad about it.. sigh)

Now, having seeing this scene (not included in the trailer from youtube), I was slightly disappointed just like when I watched the anime. This scene could have been funnier if it was presented like in the manga (where Son Rui and Chiaki had conversation in English and talking bad about Nodame - Nodame speaks French and know very little English while Son Rui was not supposed to be good in her French*sigh*).

The two of them eventually went out shopping together the next day while Chiaki had his first rehearsal with Roux Marlet Oke

Well okay, so I had not introduce this person well enough. Let's meet the person who was going to make Chiaki's life even more miserable; the Roux Marlet's manager. Personally, I think the live-action manager looked more comical than the manga's version. In the manga, his name was Theo.
By the way, did I already mentioned Son Rui was like getting in between Chiaki and Nodame? Owh... I did :P but nothing could be more "nan desu ka!" moment from me when Son Rui played the celesta instead of Nodame (yeah!! thanks to you Mr. Roux Marlet Manager!!- sarcastic mode). It broke my heart more when Nodame insisted Chiaki to let Son Rui played instead of her after seeing the change of the orchestra's atmosphere to more positively after they met the world-well-known Son Rui (and thought that she was the one Chiaki's suggested to play the celesta to replace the missing person).

Nodame was so happy when Chiaki called and asked her to fill in the celesta seat that she even had a celebration @ Weirdo Forest.

Chiaki: Don't hide! Come out!
Nodame: It's okay sempai
Chiaki: But you're the one I asked
Nodame: It's okay. I'm not going to play! It's fine if Rui does it. (Nodame changed her tune-->) You have to observe the mood here. This is what I'm good for... (Nodame's hand movement..)

Okay, I had been through this scene numerous time through the anime and the manga but it still breaks my heart!

At the end, the performance *with Rui on stage* ended with a BIG wohoo!!! (another sarcastic comment).

I think I missed Matsuda (the R*Star*oke conductor) from the previous season.

For those who have not yet watched the first season and SP, there was a flashback on what happened before (and how I missed those old days of Chiaki and Nodame) and it sure brought lots of memories *heart*.

Kuroki then made another appearance when he was practising with Tanya in order to join Chiaki's oke at Roux Marlet.

And while we're at it, you should not miss Nodame's killer stew that almost killed (literally speaking) Kuroki-kun earlier. Yes, that's why he excused himself from having dinner at Nodame's house leaving poor Frank and Tanya which, both of them later suffered from stomachache (and Tanya fainted at the end of Kuroki's audition to enter Chiaki's oke).

In the almost 3rd quarter of the movie, there's a short appearance of Jean and his Japanese girlfriend (forgot her name *sigh*) doing some advertisement activity (shouldn't this done by other people??) and met with a Nippon style of advertisement thanks to Nodame. I actually missed this another-weird-couple very much.

As the story went on, Chiaki finally improved his PR skill, getting along with the concert master and the rest of the orchestra, along with some more new additional team members (and Kuroki-kun of course since he made it into the oke). But while the movie closed with Chiaki's excellent performance (it really was!!) and managed to stand proud... Nodame sat there with her eyes staring on the floor.

I knew what will be coming in the second movement, "thanks" to the spoiler at the end of the first part. Therefore it made my heart cried out for more. While I find Kuroki to appear more manlier, Chiaki had grown much older (comparing to the very first season of NC) but man he glow. Well okay, I could have biased here :P but Chiaki was like my ultimate sempai okay... so hush!!! Even though that this series were by far the best adaptation from manga to live screen yet (in Rae's opinion), there's of course flaws (which I think were hard to resist) in attempting to get the comical manga feeling. Yup, in case you have not notice... the double-body of Nodame by using a plush toy (it looked plushy to me) was epic <-- sarcastic comment.

After MONTHS of waiting for the first part of the movie... I can't help but wonder, "Can I wait until the end of the year for the second part?". Worst yet... I might had to wait for NEXT YEAR! *faint*.

Seriously.. it's a Lee Min Ho's drama. Do you really need other reason to watch this? Still thinking? Check out the trailer :D

Jeon Jin Ho (Lee Min Ho) is a straight guy who pretends to be gay in order to become a roommate to his female friend, Park Kae In (Son Yeh Jin). His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he’s known for his stoic poker face. He’s a stickler for cleanliness, but he also has a talent for figuring out women’s feelings. Kae In is very trusting even though she has a habit of being betrayed. However that doesn’t stop her from giving people the benefit of doubt and Jin Ho is no different. How will Kae In react when she finds out that her gay roommate is not actually gay at all and that he has fallen for her?

From Rae:
Ok.. they were nemesis at the beginning but *ehem* FATE brought them together. Rina and Redge dear... I clearly knew that both of you want Jiho as your house-mate *wink-wink*.

Pasta

A blogger friend, Redge recommended Pasta some time ago. She's an almost-all-Jdorama girl turned into the ONE whose suggesting kdrama to watch *atta girl* \(^o^)/

This drama was about a woman who aspired to be a chef. To be precised, she was inspired by her love towards pasta and some loving memories of her late mother. Gong Hyo Jin (as Seo Yoo Kyung) was the chef wannabe also had a hate-and-love relationship with her head chef, Lee Sun Gyun (as Choi Hyun Wook). Later as feeling evolved, coping with work professionally at the kitchen was one of the hurdle that they had to cope.

Personal afterthought:

The first half was very entertaining. VERY. It's getting slow at the middle but pick up the pace back again. The cold war moment and misunderstanding between the Italian team and the Korean team was quite a draggy but luckily they ended it nicely. The owh-must-have-entanglement between the main lines was nicely, sweetly and lightly sort off without making it such a drama. It's a perfect drama to enjoy the morning sun (urghhh... what am I saying) and surely made your tummy rumbly just looking at the food(a little bit of Pooh the bear 's love ^^).

Although I didn't fancied Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Sun Gyun was enough to make me hooked to this drama. I love everything about this man; his gesture, his facial expression, his voice... man was he one superb actor. He's definitely the man of this show.

ahh.. I almost forgot to mention about Noh Min Woo as Philip (the Italian team). He is so pretty and even made this ahjumma jealous of him *green eye*. Even my mom said he was too pretty even for a lady when she saw him in The Star Golden Bell Challenge at KBS World recently.

As closing, I finally found my connection of the short memory of mine. I am indeed a goldfish... well atleast my memory span is. Lucky though I did not have the memory of the elephant :)

Rae on Master of Study & Dragon Zakura

Teenagers out there, these are for you! Yes, I gladly suggest all teenagers/ students to watch either one or better, BOTH. I just realised that I had said about wanting to write review aboutDragon Zakura (japanese drama) last year but never did and then this year, korean's production did a remake (can I say it that way?).

I did told a blogger friend that I hope Master of Study won't disappoint me since I love Dragon Zakura. Perhaps it's still early to tell but I'm enjoying the korean version for the time being. But seriously, how can one could NOT when we they have Yoo Seung Ho! *wish I was young again* ~~faNoona-ing~~ *giggle*.

This boy have lots of potential and the look that compliment his talents well.

A side note for viewers, stick to the end of every episode and enjoy as they share with you tips on how to study the "almost" right way *tehee~~~*.

Nodame Cantabile

There's moment when I cannot seemed to differentiate on "which in which" between the manga, anime and the live-action drama. The utmost supreme ability to quote every details from scene (including in which chapter of which volumes) belongs to my imooto. I normally get mixed up with everything and my "playful mind" usually told me that the manga had been released in anime (even though they're NOT). That's how I ended reading manga since those pages were just like film reels in my head *tsk tsk tsk*.

For months.... (not exaggerating here.. its the TRUTH), me and some other so called loyal followers of Nodame+Chiaki had been lurking, sniffing, searching.. everywhere (literally speaking) for the Nodame Cantabile the Movie. I was glad however to find the latest anime series and the side story (manga). Instead of checking where it actually ended in the previous season of anime (the reason why I need to explain myself earlier :-P), let's move on to where will the finale season (of anime) pick things up? ^^

NC the Anime: Finale

After watching the first two episodes, I believe this season covered (will covers) the remaining stories from the manga that the precious season-Paris Chapter, left. I have the feeling that the movie will cover the same thing as well. Although I do not really fancy Son Rui's more appearance, I am so looking forward for Nodame's performance with Stresseman.

After a disappointing ending of the NC manga, this one volume edition is a welcome sight! Nodame and Chiaki are back in Japan and had you noticed that I spoke about it as if they're real people in the real world? muahahha....

This one volume will tells the story of Chiaki's first Opera Concerto along with Nodame's first recital in Japan. The thing that made me excited about this volume (other than Tomoko's effort to make a heal therapy for the disappointing ending previously) was because it looked like the old troops of S-Oke from the earlier story will be "there with me". YEAY!!!

Now, this is another "something" that made the year 2010 starts wonderful!

Gigolo Wannabe

Released in 2006, this comedy genre movie is about a group of non-related men trying their luck to be the next host at a host club called the Dog Days. The future hosts were all in the photo above ^^.

The story begins with all seven men deceived by a much older man who called himself the manager of the club where they paid him deposit in order to be hired as a host. Upon arriving at the club on their so called "first day at work", they realised they were all conned when they met with the real owner, Mr. Katagiri accompanied by his adorable and sick grand-daughter, Chika.

Later, both parties (the group of the deceived men and Mr. Katagiri) agreed to let the men run the club which later end up in a disaster. Then another wake up call for the men to do it right for the sake of getting money in order to save Chika who needed a heart transplant. Shun as Ryohei was their only hope to bring in a group of rich business women. Their one shot plan was a gamble to see if this group of non-experience hosts could attract and deliver their job well to get 10 millions yen.

At the end, [highlight to read] they managed to get all the money they needed for Chika. Mr. Katagiri and Chika later left for America to get the transplant done after handling them the club as an exchange for their help. But the worst for the fresh hosts are yet to come. While cleaning their so called newly owned club, another Mr. Katagiri came up, claimed that the club was really his and he was just coming back from his vacation. Apparently the first man who claimed he was the manager, the grandfather who called himself Mr. Katagiri and Chika was a group of con artist. They boys managed to prove his statement and realised then... that they were actually conned TWICE!

It's a good story about how to overcome your current difficulties by keep moving forward every time you fall. But it also reminds us to be alert of the real world and the cute snow white may had her own agenda after all. Yes, I as well wished that the Snow White ate the poison apple and got choked for this matter. *teheee~~~*

After you run and installed it, you'll end up with a window probably like below. (click to enlarge image)

BitComet was designed for torrent files downloading but of course downloading ordinary files are much MUCH quicker using this too. Plus, you can postpone your downloading and resume at any time you want later (without need to download from the beginning.... AGAIN! *sigh*).

Note: The yellowish globe at the right-corner-bottom is the icon for BitComet after you successfully installed them.

Now, proceed with your usual downloading through any links you normally do (in this case through Megaupload but the process is definitely the same).

ALWAYS choose "download this file using BitComet" and click OK.

Then another box will appear along with the BitComet's page, click download now (or download later if you want to) and voila! You're done! Of course, depends on your internet speed and etc, you can see how fast the files are downloaded by checking the downloading info.

Helpful tips:

1. If the file you're trying to download came with a "save as file name" like below (index.html), DO NOT bother to proceed. Close the box and repeat the whole process again cos if you do continue, you'll find that the file you had fully downloaded later can't be opened (in other words... meaningless).

2. As far as I'm concern, this method CANNOT be done using Google Chrome since Chrome will automatically choose the method of downloading. So I use FireFox for opening the downloading sites and links ^^.

Queen Seon Duk @ ep 32

I tried to search for recaps on this series but I hardly found any. I tempted to have a sneak peek at the latest episode to get myself some "future" insight on how well my favourite Bidam will be but my sunbae said it would be less the fun later. Yup, she probably is right. The calling for a spoiler gets to me after getting myself spoiled with some hints here and there on how sad Bidam is... thus, I made a pledge [ ooo... very sound like a hwarang!] to stick with this main route of episode after episode! ^^

Now then, let me ramble a bit^^.

Earlier, I almost abandon this drama when I thought that I could not endure the evil Mishil/ Seju (by Ko Hyeon Jeong). I did stop for some time... for a few days, then I pushed myself to watch it. Amazingly now, Mishil is one of those fabulous villain and I love to have her on my screen.

Along with the evil queen want-to-be, I fell in love at first sight with Mishil's abandoned son, Bidam (by Kim Nam Gil). Bidam have the blood of royals and great leaders. Thanks to his parentage's DNA and being trained under the greatest *cough* Gukseon, he's one great fighter as well. So what if he have the calling to the darker side? It's the angst inside him that made him resistible! That's why I love Anakin Skywalker as well ^^.

Alcheon (by Lee Seung Hyo), I have different view of him now than the earlier him ^^. I love him for his discernment and then able to stand on his ground steadfastly. Later, after his favourite princess die, he appeared to be the prettiest hwarang of them all with that ready-to-die makeup on his face. Yup, Rae envied his lips! Dang!! lol~~~

Moving on to the Queen soon-to-be, Deokman (Lee Yo Won)... personally I think that she's just like a second Mishil. Both of them are fighting for the throne and Seju only lacked royal blood to do so. That's why Seju's afraid of the people. Both had eye for the throne triggered by revenge (Deokman's was due to the death of her sister and Seju's for the lost of her true love).

As for Deokman's first love, Yukshin-rang (by Eom Tae Woong).... he's a naively good.. GOOD hwarang who lacked sense of direction, sensitivity and skills. I totally understand why Deokman left him out from her earlier plan to conquer ~~the world~~ Shilla. In other words, he just didn't get my vote. He's in this post because he was supposed to be one of the main character :(

The Restless (2006)

This is one of those movies that have splendid settings, beautiful casts, nice effects, awesome wardrobes but draggy storyline and just a so-so love story.

Luckily enough the movie did not manage to send me to Zzzz-land. Yup, though hubby and I yawned again and again through the film, we managed watched it till the end the combo epic of the spiderman-like villian+Storm Warrior wannabe+Lord of the Ring demons+StarWars' scene.

Will I recommend this movie? If you're a sageuk fan or fantasy-like fan or love story die hard fan or ghost/demon slayer fan or Kim Tae Hee / Jeong Woo Seong's fan, do watch BUT lower your expectation. Review/Synopsis:

Its the story of a YI Kwak (Jeong Woo Seong) who can see demons/ spirits of the dead. However, because of his ability, he caused his fiancee (Kim Tae Hee) died when people accused her of being a witch. Later, YI Kwak was chosen to be one of the royal demon slayer team knwon as the Chuyongdae only to learn that the team also want to fight and change the so-called corrupted world. Since YI Kwak decided not to join the rebellion, he's the only one whose not killed by the royal army but later to be hunted down as well since he was the Chuyongdae late appointed leader. Injured while seeked for a refuge in an abandoned shrine, he "magically" transferred to the mid-heaven&earth kingdom where he saw his dead fiancee but seemed to lose all her memories on him. It also happened that the dead spirit of his Chuyondae colleague were after his ex-fiancee as well to get the magical stone she appointed with that can give them power to open the gate to the human world and enable them to have revenge for their death and to change the corrupted world *yawn*. YI Kwak pledged to defend his ex-fiancee from whoever tried to kill her this time although its mean to kill his own ex-team mates. Everything end with a disaster for the heroes and heroines but at least the earth and, the middle earth&heaven are safe.

The Happy Life (2007)

Will one's bad relationship with their dad works otherwise with their dad's friend(s)? This is what Happy Life about. Well, not entirely but yeah.

I had a happy feeling after watching this. NOPE, it's not just because of Geun Suk although he was the main reason why I watched it *tehee~~*. The rest "uncles" were also good and entertaining enough. You might find that this movie did not really overloaded with Geun Suk face, which later I found out to be the exact intention of the director just so the female viewer would not just focus on him. Despite that, this movie is worth to watch just because it's indeed a good movie itself. I tried not to make comparison of JGS's work but I must say that this is way better than the Geun Suk latest Itaewon Murder. It's fun as well to watch Jeong Jin Yeong (as the lead guitarist, Gi Yeong) other side than his public prosecutor role in Itaewon Murder (and he sang in this too).

synopsis with potential spoiler:-

The story roles in with the death of SangWo and his college's friends came to give him respect. They met with Sang Wo's son, Hyun Joon (by Jang Geun Suk) -this will be the only scene with Geun Suk on screen until much...much ... later :( . Call it mid-life crisis or not, the rest of the gang later decided to release their stresses on work and life by re-forming their band (named Active Volcano) and even dream about going on stage, only to learn that they get rejected for their lousy audition (the late Sang Woo was their vocalist after all). That's where Hyun Joon came to the rescue by joining and helping the band to get on a bigger stage. They even get young girl-fans who think they rock just like Mike Jagger and such, and even helped them later on. One fan girl said that she wished her father was as cool as these uncles by being in a band (note to fangirl, you'll have different view if he was your dad unless he was a band-member long before you were born. Yup, I have a dad who once mentioned of trying to imitate Santana). But life issues for the band members gets critical when one was getting a divorce by his wife who currently staying oversea (Canada) and another was having a hard time with his wife leaving home. GiYeong however will have green eye response from men viewers for having such an understanding wife and supportive daughter despite him being laid off from work and had debts around his waist (literally speaking ^^). After difficulties and struggling, they finally made it and had a club of their own.

Loving note for Geun Suk's fan:

Not much of cute smile(s) available (which I like) BUT I can assure you that you will be totally swooned over by Jang Geun Suk total coolness and awesome voice in this movie. Geun Suk acted as a "glue", making sure all those cool scenes stick together nicely and remind us that everyone should enjoyed the youthful feeling despite what age you're in. And owh... hanging around with a group of middle aged men can be totally awesome *giggle*. I really am glad I watched this after I watched You're Beautiful. Remind me off my "first love"... *wink*.

What to expect:

During their earlier debut on performing, when the band "stop" and Hyun Joon said (with his deep husky voice), "Hey, the flames are dancing" *melting......*
While Active Volcano performing the Happy Life song (Hyun Joon's dad last piece before he died), the "uncles' singing were superb. It gave me the kind of feeling just like when I listened to oldies... timeless (^^!)

Hwang Jin Yi will be BACK on KBS World

Can you understand my excitement? It's Hwang Jin Yi (2006). This is one of my all time favourite sageuk drama that pulled me into this k-drama world of excitement^^.

It's about a Joseon era dancer, musician and poet, called Hwang Jin Yi (by Ha Ji Won) on the story of her life. For detailed synopsis aka spoilers, [read here]. For those worries, this is not a mere girly type of story since my husband loves this too. Years back, we would run back home to watch this on television ^^.

This is also where I "met and fell in love" with Jang Geun Suk who was Hwang Jin Yi's first love, Kim Eun Ho *wink* ( I sounded like I am trying looking for excuses to talk about Geun Suk ^^). I remember thinking, such a beautiful manly voice from such a young face. ^^

Do watch this for its exquisite work of art, beautiful scenery, stories and beautiful roles. This drama will be re-aired on KBS World starting 23rd December 2009.

Haeundae

Did I mentioned that today (Sunday) was my lucky day? I even got to watch Haeundae after borrowing the movie from my cousin this morning. Oh, it's my second Ha Ji Won's movie for the day ^^.

Although it's about natural disaster, I love the side stories that went along before the tragedy struck. When most films (referring to Hollywood's) with the same interest mostly/ usually stressed on how they coped with the preparation of the disaster, Haeundae made us getting more connected with the roles with everyday stories about families, loves and interests reminds me how real life went.. I think at least 60% of the movie covers that.

Therefore, later... I felt the pain and the loss more than that tensed feeling when the tsunami came. Me and my hubby however can't help it but laugh at that one guy's pure luck (the guy who drove the truck, yelled at his poor mother on the phone, strained on the bridge and later was "pushed" to save others).

Personally, I was touched when Hyeong Sik (by Lee Min Ki) saved his own "rival" which led to his own death. *sob sob*

I also learn that Haeundae refers to a place and does not means tsunami ^^.

It's not really the best movie around but it's still worth to watch.

Rina-chan, I agree with you that this is an OK movie.^^

But I'm not sure if my mind was still overshadowed by The Duelist while watching this *sigh*

I had been searching high and low for this. It's my lucky day. My heart is still tingling even after hours watching this. Truthfully, the only reason I was anticipated about this movie since years back (pity me huh for only found it now!) was merely because Ha Ji Won and the awesome poster. Ah, should I say I was a sageuk junkie as well? tehee~~ And reading Thundie's review about this awesome masterpiece made me putting in all effort to find it!

Ha Ji Won as Namsoon.

This side of JiWon is one of my favourite apart from HwangJinYi. She's AWESOME!!

Kang Dong Won as Sad Eyes aka Seulpeunnun.

The only other roles that I had seen him was in 1% of Anything. I love this side of him so... much better.

I had so much to say that I just don't know where to start. I love this movie to every BIT of it so much that it drove me speechless. I can watch this again and again and again.... Even the movie itself did not have much lines to listen at. You just had to fix your eyes straight to the screen. This movie seriously gave me the message that "silence is indeed golden".. or perhaps even better.

In a way, this movie remind me the earlier scene of Fung Wan (a Wuxia comic later adapted to famous Storm Rider) and Mulan.

I can get weak at knees at the sight of artistic sword fighting and metaphor way of speech. You might see me drool over them. ^^ That's why when Seulpeunnun asked Namsoon, "Why are you following me? ..." with his sad, somber and almost deep voice... Rae's melting.. over and over and over... Now I have another favourite on actor for their voice beside Jang GeunSuk*wink*.

If you're worry about this movie being too serious, it won't. Namsoon had her own gag but still somehow, Seulpeunnun transformed that moment and sent me to "la la land".

Never a duel had gave me this kind of excitement before. ^^

The ending was exquisite*wink* but just can't stop me from wonders, another ending just like Malaysian's Puteri Gunung Ledang? Nevertheless, this is by far the best korean movie.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

dear friends, this version of review is totally Hwang Tae Kyung's segment! Rae needed this with hope that she will have this scene in her dream tonight. Rae is grinning alone after her series of flailing, squealing and even fell from the chair tragedy. She's totally over reacted with the finale. Yet now, she even wishes that she'll be the next Go MiNyeo.... *pause*

ehem.... Yup, it's officially ended. And this time, the uploader (wlqgoddbdP) at YouTube was VERY QUICK too. In record time, I had done watching at 2.30 am. I know some had wished that this drama extended to a few more episodes, but I'm glad the Hong sisters stick to 16 episodes. It can be quite draggy if the same issue arose again and again. I'm glad the singer lady/HwaRan akan TK's mom came to her sense after "scolded" by TK and had a meeting with MiNyeo. At that age, it's wise to have her not to be such a stone-headed person.

As we're talking about the end... I felt that the almost ending scene had the same route as JGS' previous DoReMiFaSoLaTiDo. But they used TK's night-blindness nicely... :)

Itaewon Murder

Horror or violence genre was never my favourite. However, I will watch it if it involved brilliant investigation lines such as CSI:Crime Scene Investigation and Criminal Minds though I'll skip and close my eyes for scenes that show too much of blood (yup, I'm a little bit of Haemophobia). Sometime, I pass and endure it IF there are things that I like about the story or movie or drama. In this particular movie.. it's all about Jang Geun Suk *faNoona-ing*.

Anticipated watching GeunSuk as a murderer suspect? Nope, more like excited to watch him speaks his English lines^^. The verdict--> not bad!

Again, I watched this almost RAW (the full sub still not up but luckily there's lines in english). It's hard to enjoy it to the fullest when most of the scenes were either in the court or in the investigation room. Therefore, they spoke more un-familiar words to Rae's vocabulary. Despite that, Rae had a nice eye-feast on her favourite candy boy! lol~~~

In that case it wouldn't be fair to rate this movie since I wouldn't have known if the investigator/ police/ prosecutor/ lawyer did a brilliant job. Having seen this... I can understand why Jang Geun Suk did not awarded with the Best Supporting Actor. Sadly, his roles were not strong enough portrayed as a psychopathic. It's almost there, but still quite not there yet. JGS' smirk and chilly smiles however did give me a creepy feeling. The scenes were convincing but lack the thrilling which made it almost dull. This movie more likely showing the flaw in the whole investigation system. The finale was suddenly filled with anti-climax which of course strengthen the idea of weak investigation.

Watch ONLY if you're JGS's hardcore fan or you really REALLY love investigation type with less action and filled with heavy lines. Other wise, ABORT! Seriously! Now, don't say I didn;t warned you ^^.

I'm speechless. There's time when everything was so wonderful that turned you speechless. This episode was the moment. From making me squealing and smiling with happiness *still in cloud 9*, drove me to cry a river with Jeremy, the awkwardness moment between ShinWoo and MiNyeo, the almost-revealing of the real GO MI NAM and MiNyeo's mix emotions towards Mo HwaRan.... everything, just everything sum up to one simple line for the day... I AM SPEECHLESS ^^.

I wonder, how can he looked so "beautiful" with all those tears and all that angst feeling inside him? Lee HongKi dragged me along .. dwelling with tears... *sob-sob sob*. He portrayed his innocence and direct feeling very well that I just can NOT stop my tears...Sobbing along with Jeremy...

The clossing for ep 14 brought us finally into the conflict of MiNyeo's late father and TaeKyung's mom. I am so tensed I am speechless.... let's call it a day here.

By the way, I know the real MiNam is the same Park Shin Hye but I can stop grinning widely when I saw a little glimpse of him (ermm... her? what ever)

I am smiling ear to ear. So what if TaeKyung-ssi told that MiNyeo can like him just like his fan. He's been insecure with everything, so saying this lines upfront to MiNyeo who weeks ago was like a disease to him was something very romantic in a way. I'll faint listening to those cheesy lines anyway rather than watching some Hollywood-like crush (over it! done!). By the way, did you see his smile when he hugs her? *flail*

The moment when they're giving their respect to Superior Mother before they went off was adorable. I mean, I have the feeling like they're getting blessing from their parents... in a way *sigh*.

and TaeKyung never stop giving me wide smile by "ordering" MiNyeo to feed him some of those soury lime( like he had not had enough of it during the shot). ahh.. you're acting up like a grumpy-demanding child huh TaeKyung-ssi? ^^

By the way, remember about the reporter-ajushi whose sniffing around for controversy? He's the wicked one.. finally he found the photo of MiNyeo in a dress and he demanded some explanation from the A.N. management. Clever.... and he gets all the hot scoop for himself!

Which left TaeKyung and MiNyeo who just about to enjoy their precious time together to stop dreaming because MiNyeo need to follow ShinWoo to the A.N. office and made some explanation (of course by telling the half truth that MiNyeo is MiNam's twin sister).

But what can TaeKyung do now?

O yeah, give her the 100,000 won hair pin *wink* and watch how MiNyeo who just confessed her feeling to him being "carried off away" by ShinWoo.
Rin-chan, don't you think this resembled the time when Yinok had GilDong's spectacles in her hand while meeting with the royal elders to support ChangHwi (JGS) back then?

Owh.. how my heart breaks witnessing this moment! ShinWoo's gesture and "proclamation" to TaeKyung... as if TK's not there! *sigh*

And TaeKyung did kissed MiNyeo at episode 11. But didn't you think that episode 12 is more endearing to watch? So thus, Rae will skip to ramble about epi 11 and move to epi 12! atta!!!

TaeKyung & MiNyeo's moment

So what's happened after TaeKyung kissed MiNyeo?

The response from both of them are cute in a way. TaeKyung broke the awkwardness by laughing, kinda putting the blame on MiNyeo and left the "crime scene". That leave us wondering.. what's he's thinking? But I get mushy later to find that TaeKyung get soft knee as soon as MiNyeo was not in sight and tried to explain himself to the sudden incident. Naive? NOT.. but I think since he's just being a freak-control about things around him and that includes his feelings, this was more like a break-out from his comfort zone.

Meanwhile, our favourite MiNyeo's reaction was totally acceptable but the fireworks thingy just made this adorable. Her "star" kissed her and its exploded into bits of more stars... Don't this remind you of those cartoon that when the hero kissed the heroin, there's explosions of everything?

Since TaeKyung had stopped MiNyeo from meeting ShinWoo, ShinWoo gets upset and worry. MiNyeo had promised him and he had been stood up a few times! He have all the reason to be angry!

only to find MiNyeo was crying in the dark.

I know some will think that this scene reminded you all about "Jihu-sunbae playing the guitar to comfort Jandi" and all it lack off was some egg tart bartering*smile*.

And just about when we think, "Owh... it probably will be SHinWoo's moment" TaeKyung came and stole the show. Can you even blame him for looking so good even he's such a snob?

And what a "Korean sweet-heart" aka fake fairy's strategy to get "Korean's Idol Group" humbled down to her order? Well... by blackmailing them all to reveal the secret of these guys favourite girl of course. But instead felt seriously annoyed by HeYi's over reacting demand (like the time when TaeKyung was her only victim), I found it annoyed in a hysterically funny way when all the boys get bullied by her. She knew how to be a drama queen and use the power that she hold within.

Then came to my favourite scene of the show. It's MiNyeo & ShinWoo's moment in the glass house, wearing such a lavish attire, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers, while its raining outside. Such a marvelous setting!

ahh, please don't tell me he looked like "someone" (again). I want his old hair-do back! pronto!!

thanks to Fake Fairy and her brilliant plot to forever make TaeKyung hers, TaeKyung found out about MiNyeo's feeling for him!

When there's still four more episodes to go and almost all the secrets had been revealed and answered, it's just a matter of putting all this jigsaw pieces together. So I summoned the reporter below and let's rooting on him to summarise everything for us. He's been sniffing around for a reason! Go Reporter-ajusshi!!

Just a loving note for some who still wonders or hopes that TaeKyung & MiNyeo might be blood related, it's mentioned by TaeKyung's mom that they ARE NOT!
However, can't stop thinking that the issue for TaeKyung and MiNyeo later would be about how "big" the love his mom had for MiNyeo's father that she even abandoned poor TaeKyung. TaeKyung might need to deal with that while MiNyeo probably need to deal with guilt feeling. But this is just me... let's all wait for episode 13 ya people, and this time... I made a commitment to steer away from all spoilers (if I can).

After many-many days (it's been weeks actually), Rae's back to sane and receive the news well. Or is she? *sigh*

Just like Rhino the hamster from the animation Bolt said, "Is my eyes deceiving me?". I had the same thought when I got to read what's written on the series profile.

Yes, the draft of this post had been started written out last week but I only get to finish this now. Had I told you that Rae can get overboard with manga too? *tsk tsk tsk*.

The last time I rambled about this favourite Josei manga of mine was at chapter 133 when Chiaki had a concerto with Son Rui for the second time [read here]. Then later Nodame proposed to Chiaki in a most non-romantic way but we all knew she's serious about it because she looked into his eyes! Chiaki was shocked by the proposal, he instead told Nodame to quit playing around, be more serious with her music and requested some time off from Nodame.

Nodame later pulled a successful concerto with Stresseman/"Milch" after the Maestro found her in her poorest emotional state. Later when Elise decided (on her own of course) to make Nodame one of the company's "money maker", Nodame fled for a tour around the world. Feeling unsatisfied for her mission is likely to fail, Elise called Chiaki and report. Of course Chiaki felt that it could be part of his fault as well and rush back "home" to Paris to look after her and just to find that she's not there (Nodame was after all on a trip around the world) *wink*.

When Nodame's back in Paris (she took an extra time however for she over slept on the train and missed her stop), she acted like nothing's happened and encounter with a new friendship with another weird musician girl. She managed to replenish her excitement with music once again and Chiaki still kept his distance (owhh... I hate Chiaki for this!!). Chiaki thought that the reason for her behaviour was because she's pushed to her limit to play decent classical music (which of course she hated so much). As Chiaki stood behind the door listening to Nodame and told himself that it's ok to let her do her own way, the children (whose visiting Nodame) questioned if Nodame really can play piano that well. Of course that blew her up and she showed-off to the children how well she can play.

Thus she played Beethoven Piano Sonata which led to ...

Chiaki was MOVED (totally love this) and he proposed to her in a unique way.

Yup, it's a love call from Chiaki to do a concerto with him.

But Nodame do what she do best! REJECTING CHIAKI.. (again *sigh*). It's cute how Nodame rejected it though saying she had done it with Milch and there could never be possibility to have a greater one than that.

"If it goes bad and sempai turns out to be a failure, I don't think I can continue loving sempai"
(Good excuse Nodame. Let Chiaki eats his own medicine!!)

Nodame told her sempai that anime nor food can ever bribed her anymore. She's a grown up lady (or is she?? hehehe). Chiaki however just know the right button to motivate Nodame. He brought her to Nina Lutz the pianist's house (remember her from the summer musical camp way back in the series?).

Chiaki said, "We can play Mozart's Piano Sonata for Two Pianos".
(Now, I seriously can hear they play this piece.. had you missed the line again? ehem...)

awww... It's like a call back to their first performance together. After a long time, this is one of my favourite part. Remember how after they performed it way back Nodame confessed that she's falling for Chiaki? Yup, it's back again! *smile*

Not just Chiaki managed to revived Nodame's love to him/ music, Nina had found who was the person playing the piano at the summer music camp years back.

So, what follows after that?

Nodame's decided to be a better pianist and went back to Professor Auclair only to find that she lagged a semester (for being on the concerto with Stresseman and tour around the world). She then was sent again to do a recital at the Bunoa House (the Mozart's fanatic fan who owned a castle) but now with more audience. Chiaki is still struggling with Marlet and even had to preformed on a non-musical event... read ONION FESTIVAL (tsk-tsk, poor Chiaki!!!).

Meanwhile, the side stories are pretty interesting. Tanya went along with Kuroki-kun (cute....) while Frank met his destiny with Son Rui (ahh.. the least expected).

So what drove Rae nuts?

The ending was unsatisfying. I was really.. really... really.. REALLY... looking forward for that concerto of Nodame & Chiaki for the closing.

Will the live-action version fulfills my dream? I wonder. At this moment, all spoilers are welcome. *wink*

Let's forget about wanting to watch the event live. I missed it so let's just move on to the results. Wait, I don't think KBS World had it aired so I can't really say I missed it, ne? *tsk tsk tsk*.

I searched high and low. Even had to register at a particular site just to get my source *sigh*.

And thus, Jang Geun Seok lost to Jin Gu (from the film Mother) for Best Supporting Actor at the 46th Annual Daejong Film Awards (6 Nov 2009).

Geun Seok, there always next time *hugs and kisses*.

I am anticipated for the coming 46th Annual Daejong Film Awards. Why? Because Jang Geun Suk is one of the nominee for Best Supporting Actor for the film Itaewon Murder Case (2009).

I believe he deserves the nomination for being passionate about his work. I've seen him in quite numbers of roles. He is a pretty boy alright but we can see that he have more that just the look. His voice compliment his bad boy attitude which work perfectly in what drama-fans would call "drama-land". On the other hand, it works wonders as well if he's just playing the sweetheart. Owh, just can't get enough of him! *giggle*

Not because he's nominated of course but by the fact that he was nominated in that category. I don't think he's that close as being called a "new actor". Don't you think? But again... I really do not have any idea how this nomination thingy goes.

This is no comfort zone for TaeKyung's fan. I literally torturing myself doing this since I had done a previous short post regards to You're Beautiful @ episode 10 [click to read]. However This need to be done so I can sleep peacefully. I know its absurd but I can be carried away if its involves Jang Geun Seok *smile*. By the way, just some loving note if you're still wondering, I do not do recap(s). I watched this RAW and with this little knowledge of Korean language my vocabulary is very-very-VERY limited... *sigh*.

Now, lets begin with my rambling and possible ranting.

*LOVE*

I actually love (more) the scene when TaeKyung went shopping for MiNam's and had all those imaginations which dress will suit MiNam the best, but I had something to say about this one, so bear with me.

MiNam is finally sick! (yeah, we've been waiting for her to be sick because the spoiler spoiled us by telling that she will be taken care off by _you know who!_ lol~~) .There's lots of possible causes. She had been wet by HeYi, she's physically tired due to all the activities regarding her first single, she's stressed by her own feeling towards TaeKyung, and then HeYi came to scrub the salt to her wound and orally tortured her. How can a super sweet heart like MiNam handled all these things at once?

Now, this scene somehow reminds me of the Jdorama Nodame Cantabile where Megumi suddenly appeared like a zombie infront of Chiaki. This is one of the best sick-look ever! But watching this at around 3 am spook me out. Yeah.. I have a weak heart! *sigh*

MiNam fainted and TaeKyung decided to bring her to the hospital. Which later did not succeed because MiNam refused to. I was happy to see how TaeKyung insisted to take care of MiNam when ShinWoo tend to interfere (yea... back-off ShinWoo !!).

*STRESS*

Finally TaeKyung told Jeremy and ShinWoo that MiNam is a she. He told them, that they should be looking for the girl (he knew MiNam will appear as a yeoja (woman) since the dress that he bought for her had gone). Well, of course ShinWoo knew it. While Jeremy is still shocked and try to process the sudden fact, ShinWoo and TaeKyung rushed to search for MiNam. TaeKyung saw MiNam and tried to run after her. But alas... she entered the dark hall which her first single press conference is about to start. At this point, I almost hit the screen... why? because I knew TaeKyung can't see very well in the dark (okay, we all knew that! lol~~ carried away). sigh.... of all moment, dam* !! MiNam is just in front of him but he couldn't see her. He shouted out of desperate and the light is turned on and there stands TaeKyung and MiNam (or should I say MiNyeo) on the aisle.

And just about when the people (and the screaming fans) about to wonder what's happening, ShinWoo came and hug her.
(me --> NOOO!!!!!! along with kicking action)

Reporters asking about something (I assumed that they're asking who is "the girl").

ShinWoo, looked at TaeKyung and said, "She's my woman!"

DANG!!!!!! This is the only line that I understand and how I was hurt by that!

By the way, the background song really fits this!
O yeah! the angst, the jealously... but again, let's try to think this in a good way.
Will TaeKyung finally come to his sense??
nah!!!! He's just to proud to admit that! Tsk tsk tsk...

Jeremy is still in shocked-state but this event made him felt worst. Yeah, poor Jeremy.. now you understand why your hyung's been so nice to MiNam.

I am still trying to be positive about everything. Like ShinWoo did this to save MiNam from being discovered etc. But he managed to "kill two birds with one stone". At the same time, I regretly feel good since TaeKyung now felt the feeling MiNam's felt when he *kiss* HeYi...

As for ShinWoo, is it really for MiNam's sake or could he just did this so TaeKyung will back-off , nicely... or out of desperation as well..??? Yeah, I know you ShinWoo's fan(s) out there. He's the super-sweet heart, right?

episode 10 - my limit

HeYi, dear HeYi.. rule no. 1 to get the man of your dream, be nice with his friend. But you did the vice versa, so I guess you're just bored and kicking ass around!

More scenes to love (and to seriously hate). Again, I am not disappointed by the casts.

But alas.... now, I am sick @_@.

Not sick of You're Beautiful but physically sick because of my late nights watching it.

My head is spinning.. can't even post the frozen screen *tsk tsk tsk* and I think I can see JGS everywhere I turned to.

It's been a long night and I really need those ZZzzz....

I wish TaeKyung will be nursing me ... just send me that piggy-bunny, and I'll be fine *_*.

By the way, just for the side note.... TaeKyung-ssi, I love lime green! *hugs*

This episode made me squeal with different tunes at different scenes. By the way, should I say that I am waiting in the middle of the night just waiting for the latest episode to be up. Fever it is!

Now, let's pick up from the previous episode. As TaeKyung in the midst of break-down after hearing what his mother had said to him on his birthday, MiNam waited in the dark. She then decided to play the role of his "guardian angel". Standing close enough to know what she can do for TaeKyung.

Get water for him to drink... done
Fixed the light ... done
Get a coffee for TaeKyung ... done

Of course, Tae Kyung is not the dumb one and he figured it out.

The night out for the two of them.

As they reached home...

I seriously can't get enough of this. awwww....

And from above, we just knew who's watching with a broken heart T_T

And when we thought it gets better between TaeKyung and MiNam, the shot that took place the next day made me SQUEAL but with a different tune.

HeYi did took her chances this time. Instead of letting TaeKyung playing with her by giving a fake kiss, she gave him a real one! BLOW!!!!!!!

MiNam later not only felt sad about the earlier incident but also because she lost the hairpin TaeKyung gave him.

(yup, this is the accesory that we need for this year end!)

Only to find it on HeYi's hair...

As we move along, TaeKyung decided to play "surgeon".

Hair pin + bunny + piggy at the mountain = CUTE!! Now, I know what I want for my birthday ^^

If the ShinWoo's fan is not happy with his current affair, don't worry for the Hong sisters finally made TaeKyung lost fair and square to him when MiNam cough and need to drink some water.

As we come to the end of episode 9, I'm in a much delighted mood.
Although HeYi had told MiNam that she knew MiNam was a girl and threatened her as well, I still can't wait for episode 10. MiNam will after all, appeared as a LADY to the premier! What will Jeremy do later when he knows that MiNam is a she??

By the way, what action will MiNam's manager take to work the entanglement feeling between MiNam and TaeKyung? He had the hint that something is going on with MiNam and TaeKyung. Had my doses of reading at dramabeans today and guess what I found! Owh the heart breaker! T_T

Smile, You @ episode 12

I did not recall watching any drama with so many annoying characters. But just like the title it carries, the drama still made me smile ^^.

I know I had posted an introduction of Smile You but allow me to re-do the synopsis of the drama so far *wink*.

*********************************************

The drama started with a bride (Lee Min Jeong as Seo Jeong-In) being dumped on her way to her honeymoon after her in laws learned that her family had gone under. Felt angry and deceived by her parents, she decided to seek for her family's ex-chauffeur whom she called as haraboji (grandfather) rather than going home.

At the same time, Kang Hyeon Soo (by Jung Kyung Ho) who is the grandson of the ex-chauffeur came back from the State. JeongIn stayed at haraboji's house then later joined by the rest of the household when the Seo family found that they had really lost EVERYTHING. Thing gets complicated when HyeonSoo learned that the girl that he had crush on, JeongKyeong (by Choi Jeong Yoon) for EIGHT YEARS was also a daughter of his haraboji's master. In other words, she's JeongIn's eonni. To make matter worst, Mr. Kang's first crush (Hyeon Soo's father) was Jeong In and Jeong Kyeong's mother (Mrs. Seo).

When this two families live under the same roof, who had different background and way of living, things become hard to endure for both party. But the story just gets more exciting.

What's to expect?
A love triangle between this three.

Although JeongKyeong had told HyeonSoo that she's not interested with him and she's seeing another man, I believed that now she getting a little bit jealous when HyeonSoo who had been following her back for the past eight years had his concern/interest now on JeongIn (her own little sister).

However, JeongKyeong can sulk all she wants because I will be supporting these two.

As my feeling went well with almost all the roles, this man could probably be the MOST ANNOYING of them all!! You really don't want a husband nor a father like he is! Yes, meet the master of worst-of-them-all, Mr. Seo (by Seo Jeong Gil).

While Mr. Seo still looking for a way to get easy money (not by working of course), his whole family are changing (although I am still sceptical about the son behaviour). Jeong In decided to pay a debt by working at her ex-husband company (which also where HyeonSoo worked at). I believe this is just a way of the writers to spark more romance and jealously issue between the two of them.

JeongIn is in the midst of filling the questionnaire. Now, why had I never thought of this before? ^^

Smile You is expected to have 50 episodes so a slow pace plot is expected. At this point, the level of annoyance is still succeed at being CUTE so I am trying to hang on to this ^^

ANJell @ episode 8

I have grown fonder of them by each episode. How you really resist such line ups? You're Beautiful is made up from GORGEOUS PEOPLE. You could freeze and hit the pause button in any scene and yet you'll still be awed by everything. Seriously... from the main roles, to the supporting roles e.g. manager, stylish, fanatic fans, president who wears the scarf all the time to the supporting backup dancers... they all look good. Even the oh-so-grumpy-and-demanding fake fairy aka HeYi (UEE) is beautiful!

At episode 8, we learned much better about these "angels".

Hwang Tae Kyung

He is still my favourite one. Pout more... smirk more... cry more, dear TaeKyung. We will love you in every state you appeared in. Just like Sayuri the ANJell's fan club leader quote, "We are true oppa's fan!"... or in my term "dongsaeng dearie". But do mind me of minding off the age gap issue for awhile. His ego is just too big for him. He's a softie inside, yup we all can see it now. He can't see well in the dark, but thanks to that we found it's cute knowing that he can only see "the moon" and thus we are carried away as well *giggle*. Moving along, this noona think that this guy who's a afraid of the cute bunny and chased around by a pig is just SUPER adorable *wink*. He annoyed people in his own way and still we goes ga-ga over him. And when he broke and cried... not just the moon can see her star crying in the dark, but it breaks our heart as well. Deep in his heart, we knew what he yearned the most. His weird outfit and weird hairdo just work well with his weird character.. and thus again, made us love him more and more. I am not sure about others but this noona is looking forward to how TaeKyung handle his unspoken jealously on what he thought as MiNam's feeling towards ShinWoo. This will be so great!

Go MiNam/ Minyu

She's the sweetheart. Innocently she grabbed not just the guys attention but us ladies as well. Yup, if I were a guy... I'll definitely fall for her. She did well on being naively-innocent without appeared to look stupid. There's a very fine line between those two and she just managed to stay on the safe side. The quirky feeling between her and TaeKyung delighted me! hehehe... I'll be supporting this two all the way!

Jeremy

He could possibly shared the same memory level as mine. Jeremy was the one who had interest on MiNyu when he signed her paper fan on their first met just outside the company earlier. However now, even if she stand just next to him, he could hardly recognise her. If you thinks that this event is absurd, I can assure you that IT IS POSSIBLE. hehehe... I can have such major memory loss as well. Being the cutest sure made us love Jeremy but as his character develop, we wonder how far will he goes? He took the step of accepting his feeling towards whom he thought as a guy (sound very Coffee Prince likely ne?). He shared his magic bus with MiNam and that just made me think.. ahh, another entanglement to be added to the love-triangle of TK-MN-SW.

Shin Woo

A guy who we hoped could be more forward. He talked around the corner very much which left poor-naive MiNam gets the wrong idea. He super sweet, charming, not demanding, etc and he could be the MOST WANTED BOYFRIEND of the year. We pitied him very much when again and again he's stood up by MiNam, but still our feeling for him just stays there. Instead of telling MiNam to just forget TaeKyung, we asked ShinWoo to run to us. At this point, I wonder... did I miss the part where ShinWoo attracted to MiNam. Was it on their first physical attachment? The night where ShinWoo helped MiNam? Sudden crush? Any hidden agenda?? I wonder...

Forget the mighty J&J couple of Boys Over Flowers
(which ever version you prefer ya people *hugs*).
These two will definitely win my vote for Favourite couple of the year!

Three Brothers

His wife Woo Mi often sacrificed her happiness for the benefit of the Kim family. As for the last son Yi Sang, he follows in his father’s footsteps by becoming a police officer. Oftentimes the father and the son clash each other. As Yi Sang married Eo Young, the daughter of his father’s deadly foe, an ex-convict Sun Kyung traced and eventually arrested a long time ago.

“Three brothers” revolves around their relations full of conflicts and love.

Now, don't we think that the story plot couldn't be much different from the previous drama with the same time-slot? The story goes around a family with sons but instead going for four sons, they reduced the number to three.

This drama could be interesting to me in a way that I could hardly remember any of these faces from any of their previous drama. Will be looking forward this Saturday evening on KBS World!

My Fair Lady

A drama stared by Yoon Eun Hye (as Kang HyeNa-the rich successor), Jeong Il Wu (as TaeKyung - or I called him the lawyer) & Yoon Sang Hyeon (as Seo Dong Chan - the butler).

This drama started well with interesting plot when Dong Chan had his fight with the spoilt princess, Hyena. It still went well when Dong Chan worked as her butler, trying to fixed her on her demanding behaviour and help her on her love interest towards TaeKyung the lawyer and later fall fell in love with his master.

Then it dragged... I fell asleep on the sofa watching this drama on a few of its episode. Not even Jung Il Woo can keep me wide awake. I felt like story goes on a roller coaster. When you think they are going somewhere... they're back to the start. Grandpa chairman character is just too mean. I just don't get the story. Every one is like pulling and letting the rope goes. I don't find anything wrong with Yoon EunHye's acting. She did well as a bossy lady but the story just lost its sparks. Perhaps the story would be better if HyeNa just stays as the mean lady! Don't fixed her..just let her be! Everyone in the drama was great actually. I just hope I can manage to handle its blunt story towards the ending!

My Too Perfect Sons

or as my friend, Masni called them "The Ping Pong's Family"

It's a saviour drama for the week when KBS World filled with tremendously dull dramas when at a point, Iron Empress bored me, My Fair Lady sent me to sleep, Home Town Legend is just..(urrgghhh.. I don't like scary story.. no~no~no~), while Jolly Widows goes at a typical daily drama's pace which last forever.

This was the latest current drama on KBS World that I'll wait for the re-run on every Friday night, even though I watched the previous episodes.

Of course, my favourite pair of them all is Son DaePung (Lee Pil Mo) -the second son & Kim Bosil/ Jennifer (Yeo Seon). The annoying character is the best of them all and that why I love him. It took several episodes just to wait for DaePung to confess his love but he's just too adorable for me to feel dragged by him. *giggle*

And thus... it ended. A new drama is coming up this Saturday with another story about brothers. Let's just hope it will be another drama that will cheer us up on our weekends.

Blah~~~..... that's the reaction she got from me. Getting on my nerve. Tskk... and I thought she'll be the thoughtful/wisest of them all (ermm.. I'm talking about the Sasuke's fan). Saying that cheesy line that sounded very desperate in order to achieve/ gets whatever her intention was! Not even close to what Hinata had confessed to Naruto before. What Sakura's thinking by saying that in front of the almost entire troop from Konoha (and Kakashi)? urrghhh.... she sounded so stupid! Luckily Naruto had grown wiser!

I really hope the mangaka will hooked Naruto with Hinata. Hinata was more Uzumaki-like (Naruto's mother). Sakura can't deceived anyone about her true feeling. She concern too much of Sasuke. urghhh!! Snap out of it already さくら !!!

It's nice to have Jeremy's moment with MiNam this time.

While ShinWoo decided to back-off (again... *sigh*) in order to gave MN the space that she needed and TaeKyung... (urgghhh, what ever TK is doing!), it's actually quite surprising for me to find Jeremy was the one who made the effort to comfort MiNam. He must have overcome his "weird" feeling towards MN, somehow *wink*.

*side note: while Jang GeunSuk hairdo gets better..what's happening to HongKi's!!??? aigoo...

This is cute; dining at a spicy Indian restaurant, crying for the sake of spicy curry!

Then have something to cool off those burning tongue!

and have more fun at the game centre!

Now... riding on a bus is a must for any Korean drama.

Of course TaeKyung and MiNam could NEVER BE SIBLINGS OR EVEN HALF-SIBLINGS. Could it be that YB's storyline of these two parents' issues had similarity with Winter Sonata instead? Hmmmm.....

Smile @ finale

When I checked the updates on Smile, I somehow relieved that the finale is finally up. Yup, finally....

Even though this dorama only consisted of 11 episodes, it felt like it took almost a lifetime to finish it. The long court session that lasted for more than 10 years in the drama affected me virtually.. I can feel it. ah.. I did mentioned in an earlier post that it's a Yakuza-influenced -like drama, ne? Bad me... it's indeed a drama filled with hopes and dreams....

MatsuJun did a good job as Vito in the drama. When he cried, tears welled in my eyes. Drama about race discrimination had never touched me like this. In a hard way, Vito learned how important life is. It's ironic that Vito who have Japanese+Filipino parents called "the guy whose half-Filipino". But somehow it resembled some who look at the world as the half-empty glass. Thankfully, the defendant lawyer was there to fight for him.. trusting him.

While the male leads did a great job, the female lead.. or Hana (by Aragaki ) was somehow seen as a catalyst. If Hana is not around, Vito wouldn't have yearn the freedom and meaning of life (yup... he's ready to give in).

Finally, the verdict had been turned around.
I really did thought that it's the end of Vito *sigh*

3 years later

And the dream is finalised *smile*.

Smile is a great movie to reflect ourselves, how we sometime misjudge others. Like it or not, its a real world. Another Jdorama for the "wake-up call" ^^. Have a great day and don't give up on your dream!

Yet another manga for Rae to follow ^^. Never knew about this manga before, but get to know that Ken'ichi Matsuyama is going to be in this film, I just can't ignore the calling to check the manga beforehand *thank you Redge -wink*. hehehe...

At this moment, chapter 1 - read aka done. It's a weird story, weird opening, but I like it^^. First impression-first thought... Arashi's Nino will make a great Kurono *smile* - I have the feeling that he'll fit well into the character. And I am so looking forward for Ke'ichi being Masaru Kato. For the time being, I'll proceed with the manga (when I have spare time-perhaps..) while waiting for the movie to be released in the year 2011 *slap*.

Suddenly it's out in the middle of central park look alike, with a big grassy field in the middle and a few benches (actually, this scene very much look like the park pictured in Kang JiHwan+Kim HaNeul's - 90 days, Time to Love).

No people in sight and it was in the middle of the day. A few trucks parked by the road side. Shun and Rae was snooping the trucks from behind some bushes, waiting for some signal from Eason which suddenly was nowhere in sight.

Shun: Rae, do we really have to? I was just kidding the other day.
(at this point.. Shun somehow spoke to Rae in Japanese and she's totally understood... not logical, I know - nothing was *sigh* )

Rae turned to Shun : If you're not going to, let me do it alone.

Shun : Damn it (along with a super kawaii smirk)

Rae with a serious look, totally ignoring the fact that she's actually alone with Oguri Shun - took a gun from the case.

Rae: I think he's taking too much time. It's about time..

Shun: But could you atleast wait for him?

Rae ignored Shun's suggestion and ran off with a short gun in her hand.

Shun: Rae!!

Eason appeared out of nowhere, holding something small in his hand and shouting. (I really couldn't remember what he's holding in his hand though)

Eason: Rae it's time!!

Rae stopped in the middle of her running, turned around, looked confused.

Rae : Time? Time for what?

Eason and Shun: It's time!!!

Suddenly, a twilight-flash-like light flashed into Rae's sight and a voice sounded louder by every second...

As I mentioned earlier, I had this dream nights ago. But I had trouble to recognise Eason Chan. Speak about the trouble of me getting to find his name when I even forgot the name of movies that he's been in. I had to search by looking at the whole list! For the record though, Eason is actually a Hong Kong actor who Rae's actually fond but never get to learn his real name. Thanks to the dream... Eason Chan is finally "well-known" by Rae. LOL~~~

Anyway, the fact that there's not a single Korean in the dream - hmm.. could it be a sign that I had too much of K-Actors already?

And by the way, why Shun? Why it must be Oguri Shun?? Must be Redge's indirect influence of Uno Fog Bar CM madness ! hahaha...

Another romantic comedy drama on the way adding my piling list of "ongoing watch' kdramas. At episode 3, the drama was quite enjoyable. Yes, QUITE is the right word for now. It did not turned me to gaga-mode like You're Beautiful did. At least I had something to enjoy during the weekdays while waiting for thy truly coming back home from work late at night.

Description as taken from KoreanDrama:

Seo Jung In (Lee Min Jeong) is the second daughter of a chaebol family, whose family suddenly meets financial ruin. She is dumped by her husband, Lee Han Se, after their wedding ceremony when his family finds out about her family’s financial problems. Her family is then forced to move in with their longtime chauffeur’s family. The once rich and spoiled daughter and her family must now learn how to adjust to life as commoners in the Kang household.

While getting to know this drama, I somehow thought of a manga I read (I forgot the title, it's been a while) which the story line somehow resembled each other. In other words; a once rich family that went bankrupt, had to go tru a normal life, somehow ended with the ex-chauffeur's family, descendants fell in love on each other... and so on. The manga however had a sweeter version since there were memories between each of the hero + heroin along with more funnier side to how they get along when they grew up later (I'm hopeless towards manga so I should stop talking now...*sigh*).

As for Smile, You ...the grandpa/ex-chauffeur is a very frugal man that they're moments I pitied the mother/his daughter-in-law.

Lee Min Jeong did a good job as the annoying-spoiled rich girl along with a lovable side.

I however had problem with all the actors lined up. Is it just me or did all the boys in the drama is skinny? I don't really realised that until the scene where HyunSoo (by Jung KyungHo) was in his boxer, and am started thinking... such a skinny thigh. You just can't ignore that since he's in the boxer ya! I'm beginning to see characters' images from manga being brought to life = pretty faces with such a skinny figures.

Due to that, somehow...... at one point... I miss Lee MinHo *sigh*.

A quick update....

The LnF syndrome on You're Beautiful... it's official !! Yup, it's so quick I know.

I am so loving this and the DVD later?? You bet I'm going to get those. Yes... more Jang GeunSuk's drama into my collection *wink*. You just cannot NOT loving this drama.

If you still haven't watch this but love JGS's singing part in DoReMiFaSoLaTiDo, this one IS A MUST HAVE!! Jang GeunSuk on bigger stage, more character developed, have more luck in love (I hope *cross thy finger*)... and I must also add that his counterparts are totally superb as well. Oh my... Park ShinHye, Lee HongKi and Jung YongHwa are SUPERB. These are lines with pretty faces + good acting. \(^o^)/

The soundtracks are great as well. JGS's singing? HongKi's part? ShinHye (I'm loving her more and more).. YongHwa?? Bring it on. The fan-gurling mode were totally maximised during their ANJell's stage performance in episode 4 *drooling*. Luckily nae nampyeon was not home witnessing my silly behaviour *gosh*.

When we're into a particular thing/hobby/activity etc, I wonder how do ones set the boundary to it? How do ones categorised it into like, love, crazy, fanatic etc. My loves/attractions towards things can come and go. Anyway, the degree of social acceptance probably measured and valued by your age and the society you're living in.

When some ladies found it's unacceptable for a young mom *cough* like me followed manga and anime, I found it more "disturbing" watching Indon's or Spanish sinetrons that lasted for more than a year which usually talk about beautiful women dealing with revenges in the families, pulling each others' hairs and teeth. Though romance is a genre that I would love as well, there's a limit to how much romance that I could handle, as well concluded my k-drama thingy which ended in 16 - 20 episodes. That's also why I usually opted for a romantic comedy and ended reading Shounen manga rather than reading soapy novels. I am not saying dragging-romantic love story is bad but it's just not my cup of tea. A nice story along with swords/blades/kunai-whatever ancient weapons that needed body movement skills... you'll see sparkles in my eyes. LOL~~

If I need to category myself, I would say I am just passing my times *wink*. A professor once told me not to do things half-heartedly (of course not referring to this topic *wink*) so you won't see me tossing the story I've been followed since ten years back. But I'm sane enough not to spend money buying Sharingan eye-contact lenses, nor dressed as Naruto's nor Nie Feng, nor woke up 3 am in the morning to catch a drama I missed. ermm.. wait, I did that with Hong Gil Dong *faint*.

As for now... if you want to discuss about Naruto, One Piece, Nodame Cantabile, the ever so great Pedang Setiawan aka Storm Rider (I am totally reffering to the book.. not the movie) or even the latest You're Beautiful (the list could go on forever...), bring it on! I am all ears. It's better to discuss these matters than involving in a group of people talks/gossips about how much than darn old lady in a particular drama look so much like your lady neighbour.

Now, I am waiting for The Storm Warriors film to be available locally. Hope I won't be disappointed by it just like Storm Riders.

I know that I skipped a part but I just can't wait to share these cute moments of Jeremy (HongKi).

Poor Jeremy are totally driven into the "madness" of his own world.

Jeremy urged MiNam to spill out the truth (I'm guessing about her weird relationship between her and the other two A.N.Jell members; ShinWoo and TaeKyung). He sprayed water to her since she hesitated. But the problem is, with MiNam running around, splashed water by Jeremy... Jeremy man-hood response to her attraction. This is a proven success for centuries in other stories especially in Bollywood drama where the hero fell for the heroin while running around in the rain*wink*. It's just mother nature work of love chemistry ^^.

I found it funnier when Jeremy "wake up to the bell sound" trying to alarm himself that he should not fall for MiNam (who he thought a man).
He then tempted to spray her again when suddenly...

ShinWoo came to the rescue and sprayed Jeremy.

Jeremy felt betrayed...
HongKi looked so cute and hilarious! Poor thick headed Jeremy *giggle*

And all he have is Angelina Jolie... hahahhhaa

If this drama named by each chapter (like most mangas and animes), this episode could be called

"Jeremy's path to mind insanity" (^^!) ergghhh.. I'm so bad with words. LOL~~

At the end of episode 2, I was actually awed and excited at the same time since the fact that MiNyu is a girl known by both Shin Woo and Tae Kyung.

Episode 3 picks up from Tae Kyung waited for MiNam (or MiNyu - I decided to address her as MiNam for now). He showed her "her secret" revealed that he managed to record earlier and told her that he's going to tell the president.

Since MiNam's begging did not worked with Tae Kyung, MiNam's grabbed the phone, run away with it, while TaeKyung's chasing her until they went to a dead end. The grabbing and pulling phone scene later took place where it ended fell off unto a truck and later we witness another scene of TaeKyung's chasing MiNam but MiNam is now holding on tightly above a moving truck.

Now this scene is made me turned into my WTH-mode. Not just it's impossible for TaeKyung to chase a moving truck, but the fact that he actually lagged off (since he need to think either he should save her or not) is a definitely NO-NO! Now this is the time someone should interfere me and said "He was only doing what the director told him to". *slap* I would rather have motorbike placed nearby earlier and TaeKyung chasing MiNam on the bike. TaeKyung-ssi should try out the running track team for his speed ^^.

Meanwhile, Jeremy accidentally found them and a sneaked along.

HongKi in that weird-long-pink stripped ~~dress~~ blouse reminded me so much of Piglet from Winnie the Pooh.

Even only at two episodes, this drama had too much scenes to be mesmerised *smile*. By the way, I had a hard time to choose on using him or her on Park Shin Hye as MiNyu since now she's pretending to be her twin brother MiNam. (~_~) <-- thinking mode. Still can't decide. Hope you can make your own way understanding this post!

After the night "kissing+throwing up" thing between MiNyu and TaeKyung, MiNyu get to know from Shin Woo and Jeremy who she/he offended the most. Funny+cute how Jeremy linking it to a tsunami thingy.

Meanwhile TaeKyung stressed so much because of the incident that happened. I would too if someone threw in mine and TaeKyung was a total neat-clean freak. He was totally blown by it that he passed out! LOL~~

And so... after "consulted" by ShinWoo and "forced" by Jeremy, MiNyu tried to apologize from TaeKyung.

Along with a tea and a candle?? Yup, we will totally wonders why in the world MiNyu had to bring along a candle. But then again.. it's a drama along with MiNyu's naive character*wink*. However, can't help but thinking as soon as the candle appears, we knew it's a recipe for disaster!

TaeKyung asked him/her to get out from the room but the we knew that it would be no fun if she followed his order, ne? hahhaa...She thought, well I just leave the tea and candle here. But it's not a merely task to be completed by an unlucky-almost-turn-to-be-nun. She dropped some wax on the floor, tried to clean the hot wax, surprised by the hot wax, and bashed into TaeKyung's CDs' collection. And all of these happened while TaeKyung leaved the room.

However it did not end there. The air-conditioner accidentally started (the remote control was hit by a CD), papers blown to the floor where the innocent candle is waiting, and she just had to stop the wind from blowing or putting off the fire while holding back the CD rack. Yup, at this point we would suggest that she quickly pushed the rack back to its position and PRIORITY first on putting off the fire. But come on! It's a drama and if they did what we could have done in the real world, it wouldn't be a fun one! (Now this statement reminded me of Worlds Within where things in drama should be just like real life... people need to eat, go to the toilet...etc *yawn*)

ah yes... the creative MiNyu decided to "spit" on the candle to put off the flame.

owh.. just about when TaeKyung came out from the shower. Horrified by seeing MiNyu spitting on his floor ^^

Omo, did I said shower... muahaha. More skin revealed*wink*. The music chosen for these "dramatic and tense" scene was superb. It varies from classical (while JGS was taking shower and showed us more and more skin *faint*) to an almost Star-War music... lol~~~

Ah.. did you see the yellow arrow? I'm helping you highlighting the next evil thing that will cause trouble between these two.

TaeKyung's trying to give him/her a warning by slamming the rack but ended with the trophy fell on MiNyu's head.

Aigoo.... the right time for the rest of the house entered the room to witness such scene with all the evidence pointing at TaeKyung-ssi!

JGS's expression was priceless. hahahha... I laugh and laugh that my tummy ached (^^!).

And thus, the Rhapsody of the evil candle ended.

Now, what will you do if you are "trapped" in a same room with a group of shirtless (I can't say naked... lol~~) boys ermmm men.

MiNyu get a "wisdom" by the superior Mother to imagine the hunky-shirtless-men (yup... more skins revealed*faint*) as "little boys" (thanks to the cherubim images at the convent where she used to stay). Hahaha... the hunky men turned into cute babies with animated clouds to censor the lower part. So cute!!!

However, the "magic" only lasted a while when Jeremy "broken the spell" by surprising her! LOL~~~ But thankfully ShinWoo is there. He covered her-almost view, pushing (gently yaa!!) her gently out of the room and said that it's better for her to be out anyway since he can't take shower if she's around. Yess..... I can hear the "awwwwwwww...." sound. He knew she's a girl since the night MiNyu passed out along with TaeKyung.

ShinWoo managed to make me fall for him so fast! It's like I've been tied to a a BIG rock and ~~jumped~~ pushed into the sea of ShinWoo from the cliff of JiHoo sunbae! I'm drowning fast!!! *help*

As for the time being, the OSTs are already ringing in my ear. Yup, Rin-chan... I wondered too if they will came up with the all four version of the OST. HongKi can definitely sing... Jung Yong Hwa profiled as a singer as well (though I don't think I had heard him singing)... Jang Geun Suk mia JGS *faint*-he's already the main vocal of A.NJell. Park Shin Hye... since she's the 2-nd vocal of ANJell, so we're expecting to hear from her very-very soon*wink*.

I am not going to do a recap of the story. Instead, I decided to do some review (more like frozen panels) on my favourite sceneS. \(^o^)/

The story started with Mi Nyu at the convent, dealings with time-management and later with a a kid who's ignoring the mass. Owhh... that little brat made me want to pinch her cheek as well.

Later when she agreed to fill in for her twin brother absent, she followed the manager to meet with the original A.N.JELL idol group but beforehand had to deal with a group of fan. The fans costumes were cute but she as a fully dressed NUN had outcasted them all.. hahhaa.

MiNyu star-struck-state made me giggle. It shows that she's a pretty ordinary girl after all , witnessing the boys making their way to their management's office.

Later after MiNyu signed the contract (behalf of her twin brother MiNam of course), they celebrated it and MiNyu fell to the temptation of alcohol. And the series of problem followed.

owh NO... she's going to puke. Get a bucket!! quick!!

You're Beautiful (미남이시네요), got me hooked to it at the 1-st episode. The fact that I was totally going gaga over this drama even before it even started was solely because of the casts *giggle*. I had been wondered/dream if HongKi will ever be on the same stage with Jang Geun Suk, and SBS answered my prayer *hehhee*.

My sunbae asked me if I am going to post review on this drama. Yup, reviews are everywhere but we all have something to say right. So I thought, before I proceed with the story review (more like me commenting on it.. ahahahaha....) let's look at the idol group; the heart of this story. The A.N. JELL group.... nyaaa~~

First thing first. When cousin asked me who acted along Jang Geun Suk in this drama (she's a fan of his), I replied... Lee Hong Ki from FT Island, Park Shin Hye and some other guy. Oh my.... !! "some other guy"??? *slap*

After the first two episodes, this "some other guy" totally need some respect because his acting is not-that bad... erm, its actually quite good! Consider that this is his first time in acting, he's really did a good job. So let's give a big round applause to Jung Yong Hwa(as Kang Shin Woo)... *clap clap clap*. I can't help myself to read some other reviews of this drama and it actually-literally hit me when DramaBeans mentioned that JYH probably will be the Rui that Kim Hyun Joong could not quite be *slap on the face*. Gawd... JYH did do a great job on being the sweeter 2-nd hero version and I actually did fell for this "first-timer" too...*faint*.

JGS's (as Hwang Tae Kyung) looks and character in the drama suited him well (I however will fall for him in every state he appeared in.. ahakss...). The emo look that JGS supposed to appeared in however, failed in many ways. He's just a emo-wanna be! LOL~~ I'm just enjoying it as it is *wink*. I enjoyed every sides JGS portrayed in the drama, though he tried as much to be the cool head of the band, he's actually did have a funny+wacky+softy side too. Owh... did I mentioned I totally melting over his voice?? It's great to listen to his voice once again. With his singing... its SUPER!!! It's so much better than his previous singing-related drama (DoReMiFaSoLaTiDo). By the way, JGS pouty mouth is just so adorable... mind me in my own world *giggle*.

Lee Hong Ki (as Kang On Yu or Jeremy) on the other hand is too cute to handle! Gawd... he made me giggles everytime. He's like the super-active kid who had been overdosed with lots of sugars and candies!!! Totally love him *wink*. It's undeniable that Hong Ki's singing is superb but I'm happy enough getting to see him on the drum. He did some singing too and please don't asked me who I preferred to be the main vocal of A.N.JELL...

Park Shin Hye... (as Go Mi Nam the twin brother/ Go Mi Nyu) dear Shin Hye. What to hate in this girl? None.... She totally fabulous! I started liking her in Stairway to Heaven and though I did not really followed every works that she's in, she's one of the actress that I'm voting for. Although I did not really fancy Tree of Heaven, it mostly because of the story line (not fancy of story of siblings fell in love with each other*sigh*). Comments were made that her character and looks in You're Beautiful reminds them of Geum Jandi (of Boys Over Flowers) and Yoon Eun Hye (Goong, Coffee Prince, My Fair Lady). So not!! PSH had her own attractions and her character in this drama was awesome. This is another version scoop of the ladies dream *giggle*. Seriously... It is a twist of "lucky her" dream. yay!! Dream on ladies *ahaksss*.... she's like the mischievous hamster (why did I had this idea... I dunno) who ended with all the good things in hand --> read... three gorgeous guy.

Star-struck.

This drama will totally be in my all time favourite k-drama as well. Romantic comedy had always been one of my gig. Be warned though that the comedy side of this drama is almost slightly over-dosed so you might be reconsidering of watching it in your office or in the middle of the night. It is hilarious!!

I had numerously hit the [pick random manga] button. It's a good way to pick manga so that if i was ended with a boring one, I could easily blame "that particular button". hehehe...

This time luckily I came to meet with a sweet story of romance. Spicy Pink by Yoshizumi Wataru. The story was not in my "brilliant" group but this manga was worth enough my time. It would worth my money too.

Anyway, the story was about a shoujo mangaka finding romance in life (after been pushed by her friends)... met with a quite "terrible+rude" doctor, found love, had rival in love yada...yada..yada... The story was made simple and quite cliche but it's somehow flattering at the same time*wink*. I fell in love with the characters in it ^^. Owh... and should I add that the drawing is quite good.

Do read them if you're looking for a manga to read. I guarantee that this manga will not make you end up with a tummy-ache nor a head-ache ^^.

As I checked the collection of mangas I had, I saw this one. I kept thinking... had I read them? Since I was trying to get my manga organised (I'm hopeless.. *sigh*), I read them (consist of 5 chapters). Only in chapter 2 I realised that I actually read it. Now this is a non-memorable story. I just remembered how bored I was with it. Note to self~~ I certainly will NOT re-read them even I am manga deprived *sigh*.

Sora Sora I guess taken from the name from both main characters in the manga ; Sorako and Sorao though it could be named after something else. It's a typical story where girl meet boy --> went to the same school ---> became best friend ---> fell in love but with the addition of boredom! I think my high school stories are (ehem.... take note of the plural..) much more interesting than this (^^!). I found some out that some readers think that this story is cute and adorable... who knows, IF I read it when I was 15 y-o... I MIGHT find it cute too (*_*).

Now, we can sure be excited to this upcoming drama. I can totally handle this *giggle*. It's a feast of the eyes for me along with Park Shin Hye (love her). Owh.. did I forgot to mention that my virtual darling Jang Geun Suk and the cute-pie HongKi from FT Island are in this drama as well? Hmm.. though the trailers looked fun and promising, I really hope it won't disappoint me and do be a next fever after Boys Over Flowers *cross finger*. But SBS's production so far are quite good.

Synopsis:
A story about the behind-the-scenes life of an idol group. Tae Kyung (JGS) and On Yu (HK) are in search of a new member for their idol group. However at the last minute, the member suffers an injury and his twin sister, Mi Nyu (PSH) , steps in to disguise as him.

Blood: The Last Vampire (manga)

I never had a hard time with manga until I read this one. Personally, this is for me a kind of manga that executed poorly. I decided however to finish reading it since the movie trailer I saw was promising. I am a fan of CG effects and sci-fi films afterall. The story plot was quite there but the manga left me with a sick stomach for all the wrong reasons *sigh*. So the movie might ended up better than the manga itself.

As the anime version, I have not watch it (blame it on the manga) and it could be the last thing that I would have watch (if I will ever be). However, the feeling I had probably because I am NOT a vampire-like fan after all *sigh*.

Antique Bakery the anime series

Instead of sulking because I can't join the "arirang" in KK yesterday, I stuffed myself with Antique Bakery the anime series. I haven't watched the Japanese drama series simply because I can't find. I think it had been removed somehow *sigh*.

Though I usually cannot beat the "calling" of reading the manga before proceeding with the anime (or the drama series), I managed to sit firm on my chair, watching the anime instead of reading the manga. The result: I love it... and the fact that the Korean version (movie) followed closely to the manga/anime made me love it even more. I love familiarity... *smile*. Of course the Korean version cropped a few things here and there which ended it as a movie.

I love the CG effects on everything in the anime. I rarely watch animes with this kind of presentation. Ono, the patissier really reminded me of Kim Jae Wook as the korean version with gay-demonic-charm *hehehe...* but Jae Wook looked very much prettier than the anime Ono. The same feeling goes with Tachibana and Chikage. After watching the anime, I must say that the korean guys really addressed the character very well and that what I love them even more *wink*.
